Huejutla and Other Towns

In Huejutla and Other Towns, Pedro Meyer returns to the paths that marked the beginning of his photographic quest in the 1960s, when the construction of his first house led him to discover that architecture, memory, and image share a common foundation: lived experience. Between Huejutla, Doxey, and Tula, these photographs seek to accompany the everyday dignity of those who inhabit these territories, where pre-Hispanic and Catholic traditions, as well as the intimate and the communal, coexist seamlessly. This volume in the Miramar collection is a visual diary about closeness. The gaze is set on the same level, without superiority or distance, understanding that every photograph is an interpretation and that true permanence is not in stone, but in the life that insists on walking.
